Sungrow Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., the world's 3rd largest PV inverter manufacturer by volume (GTM, 2012), is showcasing a number of new products at Solar Power International 2013 (SPI), including a 30kW string inverter, 800kW central inverter, and 16 string combiner box with string level monitoring.

The unveiling of Sungrow's new SG30KU/SG36KU 30kW and 36kW 3-phase string inverters for the North American market will happen at Sungrow's booth (#738) on Tuesday, October 22nd, at SPI. The UL listed and CSA certified inverters feature 98% CEC efficiency, 1,000V DC input, lightweight transformerless design (143 lbs.) for wall and pole mounting, integrated AC and DC disconnects, arc detection, duel MPPT's each capable of handling 5 strings, and integrated monitoring.

"The SG30KU inverter is our killer app for the US market. It's on the leading edge of the transition to 1,000Vdc string inverters for commercial installations in the United States. In its first year, we deployed over 5,000 30kW units in Europe, and Photon Magazine ranked it #1 in efficiency for all string inverters over 20kW," said Guibiao Zheng, Sungrow's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, who will be at the official unveiling on Tuesday.

The company is also showcasing its new, SG750MX/800MX inverter at SPI, which garnered lots of attention at Intersolar 2013 as one of the world's highest powered, outdoor rated, single-machine PV inverters. The UL listed and CSA certified inverter features 98.5% CEC efficiency, 1000V DC input, LVRT, HVRT, FRT, power curtailment, and IGBT unit slide-n-swap technology for easy maintenance in harsh outdoor environments, while coming in at a substantial discount versus most major competitors.

Additionally, the SunBox PVS-16M-US combiner box, which was specially designed for the North American Market, includes arc-fault detection and a string-level monitoring option, can also be found at Sungrow's booth at SPI, for well below standard market rates.

Sungrow is bullish on the US market going forward. "We've seen orders pick up in the US significantly this year.
