International and local CSP community including Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Oil Company, Masdar, Abengoa, ACS Cobra to meet at MENASOL (6-7 May, Dubai)

Over 400 senior executives will be gathering in Dubai next week to learn how to develop and construct photovoltaic (PV) and concentrated solar thermal power (CSP) plants in the top markets in the region including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco and more.

The opportunities in the MENA region for both local and international solar companies are steadily rising and the MENASOL conference will gather senior representatives from key agencies in the region to show attendees how to take advantage of these opportunities. Governmental agencies attending the conference include National Electric Power Company Jordan, National Électricity Office- Morocco (ONÉE) and Moroccan Solar Energy Agency (Morocco), Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

With over 70 speakers from the leading solar developers in the region, such as Abengoa, ACWA Power, SolarReserve, BrightSource and many more, delegates will get direct technical and strategic advice on construction, operations and maintenance and labour coordination specific to each technology and market. Understanding how to adequately maintain plants in the midst of dust, humidity and water shortages is essential to ensure profitability and securing finance.

With multiple different laws operating on land purchase, asset ownership and project financing, developer and EPC companies need to be aware of how to obtain financing in each market. Therefore, MENASOL will host major financiers from across the investment landscape including several representatives from the IFC, World Bank, Gulf Investment Corporation, KfW-IPEX, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Mizuho bank.

As every developer and EPC with a large scale solar project in the region attending the conference, the event is unmissable for anyone focused on building a solar business in the region. MENASOL will have over 20 hours of networking time to ensure that delegates meet the contacts they need for real business development across multiple markets.
