Baker Electric Solar, an Escondido-based solar company that designs, builds and installs photovoltaic solar power systems across Southern California, formally announced today that it ranked No. 14 on the San Diego Business Journal's 2014 Fastest Growing Private Companies list.

Baker Electric Solar was recognized as one of San Diego's 100 top fastest growing companies based on its percentage increase in revenue between fiscal years 2011 and 2013. With a reported 204 percent growth, Baker Electric Solar ranked No. 14. To be considered for the list, companies needed to be privately held, based in San Diego County and have earned at least $200,000 in 2011. The data sources used were the companies, CPA attestation letters and San Diego Business Journal list files.

Baker Electric Solar team members attended the San Diego Business Journal's awards presentation at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego on July 10. The private reception included attendees from the fastest growing 100 as well as 35 honorable mention companies. San Diego Business Journal President and Publisher, Armon Mills and Executive Editor, Reo Carr formally recognized and announced the top companies.

Baker Electric Solar adds this latest recognition to a number of recent achievements over the last three months. Brian Miliate, Baker Electric Solar's CFO received San Diego Business Journal's 2014 CFO of The Year Award. In addition, Baker won two National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) safety awards and a 2014 EAR award for effective advertising on radio from the San Diego Radio Broadcasters Association.
