YANMAR Installs First Gas Heat Pump in Canada
YANMAR America is pleased to announce that it has successfully installed its first Gas Heat Pump (GHP) system in Canada at the Toyota Tsusho office in Woodstock, Ontario. This office building installation features a 16 ton (56 kW) outdoor unit, as well as 14 indoor units.
Adairsville, GA (February 9, 2015) – YANMAR America is pleased to announce that it has successfully installed its first Gas Heat Pump (GHP) system in Canada at the Toyota Tsusho office in Woodstock, Ontario. This office building installation features a 16 ton (56 kW) outdoor unit, as well as 14 indoor units, including 4-way cassettes, wall mounted, ceiling mounted and others.

YANMAR GHP air conditioning systems provide efficient, cost effective heating and cooling solutions for buildings using natural gas. The systems use the energy from the gas to power YANMAR's own lean-burn gas engine that then drives the heat pump, which transfers large amounts of heat energy between the building (indoor units) and outside air (outdoor unit). These systems offer customers a small footprint, quiet operation, low running costs, reduced CO2 emissions and other benefits, making them ideal for office buildings, hotels, schools, restaurants, shops and a multitude of other applications.
YANMAR's GHP systems are currently only available in non EPA areas, but they will become available in the United States later this year.
