SolarEdge obtains global certification for its 2nd generation smart junction boxes

The certification is valid for European IEC and EN as well as North American UL standards. SolarEdge smart junction boxes represent the module-embedded version of the market-leading SolarEdge power optimizer, incorporating power optimization, safety and module-level monitoring into a junction box. The first generation was installed in over 20MW of PV systems. The acquired certification allows module manufacturers to easily upgrade standard modules to smart modules; it is valid for all standard module categories and applicable worldwide.
