Worcester, MA - May 6, 2008 - World Energy Solutions, Inc. (TSX: XWE), a leading operator of online exchanges for energy and environmental commodities, today announced a "call for supply" for a June 10 VER auction. NativeEnergy, a leading national carbon offsets and renewable energy credits (REC) provider, intends to procure up to 1.5 million VERs via World Energy's online auction platform, the World Green Exchange. Qualified VER suppliers are encouraged to contact World Energy to register as a bidder on the World Green Exchange in order to participate in the auction. Registration is free of charge.

Auction Details
• Target Auction Date: June 10th, 2008
• Total Quantity: Up to a total of 1.5 million VERs (1 VER = 1 metric tonne CO2e);
• Minimum quantity: 5000 metric tonnes
• Vintage: 2008, 2009, 2010
• Project Location(s): United States
• Ownership: Seller must demonstrate ownership of VERs

Verification Standard
VERs must be VCS-verified or verifiable. Buyer preference will be given to sellers who are responsible for the verification of the VERs, although buyer will consider some flexibility.

Qualified VER Project Categories
• Renewable energy-based projects including fuel substitutions (for hydro, preference is for Low Impact Hydro Institute certification)
• Methane recovery
• Waste heat recovery
• Efficiency
• Transportation-based
• Farm-based: dairy farms only

Native Energy seeks to involve projects with additional social or environmental benefits, as well as community-owned, Tribally-owned and farmer-owned projects. Gold Standard projects will receive special consideration.

Additionality
Projects must not be required by law, and must pass NativeEnergy's stringent additionality tests.
