Seattle – March 14, 2012 – Silicon Energy, a manufacturer of world-class solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for the North American market, today announced that its new SiE3840 and SiE5300 Solar Inverters received the Washington State Department of Revenue's "Made in Washington" approval. Washington's Renewable Energy System Cost Recovery Program includes a production incentive allowing solar photovoltaic system owners to achieve up to $0.54 kWh of residential or commercial energy production, or $1.08 kWh of community solar project energy production.

No other battery-less, grid-tie inverter manufacturer in Washington has qualified for this status. Silicon Energy's inverters also received a UL1741 listing from ETL, ensuring the inverters passed safety and power generation standards.

Silicon Energy's inverters offer the highest efficiency in their class with a 96% CEC efficiency rating. The SiE3840 and SiE5300 Solar Inverters have proven field experience, are backed by a 10-year warranty, and are lightweight, allowing for easier installation.
