OKLAHOMA CITY, November 14, 2012 – The Tranquility® 22 Two-Stage Compact (TY) Series unit raises the bar for water-source heat pump efficiencies, features and application flexibility. In addition to exceeding ASHRAE 90.1 efficiencies with two-stage operation, the TY unit also uses EarthPure® (HFC-410A) zero ozone depletion refrigerant, making it a notably environmentally friendly option.

Available in 2- to 5-ton capacities with multiple cabinet options (vertical upflow and horizontal), the TY Series can accommodate a wide range of applications. It also has one of the industry's smallest footprints, making it suitable for installation in tight places and for the replacement/retrofit market.

The TY has an extended range refrigerant circuit for both ground loop (geothermal) and water loop (boiler-tower) applications. Standard features include a Copeland UltraTech™ two-stage unloading scroll compressor, ECM variable fan motor, microprocessor controls, a galvanized steel cabinet, a powder-coated and insulated galvanized steel drain pan, acoustic type fiber insulation, and a double isolation compressor mounting.

The TY also features iGate™ technology, the next generation in intelligent control that employs two-way communication to provide gateway into the system. The iGate™ control system allows end-users and contractors to monitor the performance of the unit, custom tailor its operation, and diagnose issues directly from the thermostat.
