LONGi Solar Achieves a New World Record for PERC Cell Efficiency

LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. announced today that Fraunhofer ISE CalLab of Germany certified a photovoltaic conversion efficiency of 22.71% on the company's monocrystalline PERC cell, which is a new world record for this cell type.

Since the effect of environmental inspection and annual maintenance in China gradually weakened, the tight supply no longer supported the polysilicon prices amid waning demand and weakening RMB this week.

Third Sun Solar and AEP OnSite Partners are bringing more than 2 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity to the Denison University. Geoff Greenfield, co-founder of Third Sun Solar, said the Athens-based solar energy provider will install the array near the Biological Reserve on the Denison campus in Granville. The majority of the construction will be completed in the next few months, with the system fully operational before the end 2017. When completed, the solar energy produced will offset approximately 15 percent of Denison University's electrical energy consumption.
