Edgewood, New York - Sept. 9, 2010 - Direct Grid Technologies, LLC, announced that it has received CE as well as VDE0126-1-1 certification for the DGM-S460 Series Grid Tie Micro-Inverter. The DGM-S460 is a rugged utility grade photovoltaic (PV) inverter that offers a unique architecture and a market-leading 460W power output in the micro-inverter space. The technology employed in the Direct Grid micro-inverter enables unparalleled customization options, increased flexibility and connection to the highest power PV modules available on the market.

Attractive for use with dual 60-cell crystalline modules, the DGM-S460 is the first micro-inverter that can truly be applied in large commercial and solar farm installations. The technology incorporated in each DGM-S460 Direct Grid micro-inverter offers the highest efficiency in its class, along with high reliability, excellent power factor and robust Echelon power-line communication.
"We are very excited about receiving CE and VDE certification for the DGM-S460," said Direct Grid President Frank Cooper. "This is an industry first, being that we have positioned ourselves in the 500 Watt Class in European Utility Grid deployment. Customers can realize the known advantages of a distributed inverter architecture without the module power and reliability limitations that have traditionally held back this class of product. While this was a significant milestone in our ‘go to market' evolution, we are planning a global product launch, so additional regional certifications are expected over the next several weeks, including UL certification for the US market."
Targeted specifically to the utility and commercial markets, the DGM-S460 will be distributed in Europe initially through OEM partner One Network Energies in France. Additional partner agreements are near finalization and will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
