The 2nd Utility Scale PV Plant Optimization Summit USA is only three weeks away, taking place on the 17-18th November at the Convention Plaza Hotel in San Jose.
The event will bring together leading technical experts throughout the PV industry and will tackle the immediate roadblocks faced in the design, engineering and operation of utility scale PV plants.

The event organizers have recently announced that Advanced Energy Renewables are sponsoring the conference and will share their latest innovations in utility scale inverters developed to stabilize power output in large scale plants, that will enable solar project developers to maximize performance. Joining AE at the conference are other leading PV technology and service providers including Schletter Inc, Solar Power Technologies, True South Renewables, Meteo Control and Skytron.
Conference organizer Jack Ahearne at PV Insider said that "the PV industry in the United States is poised for massive growth and development in 2012; however, with the stabilization of module prices Balance of Systems have now assumed a majority share of a PV projects total cost. Consequently, there are technical challenges that need to be addressed to continue to place PV on the path to competing with cheaper, more established forms of energy production.
