Excitement Builds for GRC 2012 Annual Meeting
Early Bird Registration for World's Largest Annual Gathering of the Geothermal Community Expires August 31.
RENO, Nevada, USA - The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC), the world's premier geothermal association, reminds attendees that Early Bird registration for its upcoming Annual Meeting will expire at midnight on August 31.
Members and non-members can register online at www.geothermal.org to attend the 36th GRC Annual Meeting themed "Geothermal: Reliable, Renewable, Global," Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2012, at the Peppermill Resort Spa, Reno, Nevada, USA.
Registration to the GRC Annual Meeting also includes entry to the U.S. GEA Energy Expo.
The GRC Opening Session will feature top-ranking government officials and industry representatives, who will put current geothermal events into perspective. Speakers will include Dr. Jim Combs – Chief Scientist, Gradient Resources; Bob Cashel – Mayor of Reno; Lucien Bronicki – Chairman of the Board, Ormat; Doug Hollett – U.S. Department of Energy; Greg Raasch – Executive Vice President and Co-Founder, GeoGlobal Energy LLC; Craig Mataczynski – CEO, Gradient Resources; Isikeli Taureka – Sr. Vice President Chevron Geothermal and Power Operations; Gerardo Hiriart – CEO, ENAL (Mexico); Richard Campbell – GRC President; and Paul Thomsen – GEA President.
In addition there will be over 65 hours of technical sessions; over 50 poster presentations; two 2-day workshops; 7 off-site field trips, 7 on-site tours, over 140 exhibitors at the GEA Energy Expo, and numerous hooks and slices at the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament and priceless networking opportunities.
Early birds who register before August 31 pay only $650 as members or $750 if non-members. The regular admission fee is $750 for members and $900 for non-members. The non-member registration includes GRC membership through 2013. Students with a current identification card from an accredited institution may attend free of charge.
