Renewable energy specialists Urban Wind have acquired leading UK wind technology expert Myriad Wind in a deal which creates a major new power in the sector.

Renewable energy specialists Urban Wind have acquired leading UK wind technology expert Myriad Wind in a deal which creates a major new power in the sector.

The deal means the experienced team at Myriad Wind will become part of the expanded Glasgow based Urban Wind company, providing complete, single-source sustainable wind technology solutions across the UK.

Myriad Wind has been acquired, for an undisclosed sum. The new Urban Wind North West Division will continue to be based in Preston, Lancashire.

Alan Penman, CEO, said the acquisition is a key part of Urban Wind's expansion plans in the wind turbine sector, as it steps up its growth strategy in the renewable energy market.

Myriad Wind brings its massive experience and knowledge to the new company, with more than 500 successful wind turbine projects under its belt, which will be invaluable in delivering the Urban Wind pipeline.
