GRC 2015 Annual Meeting Announced - Call for Papers Issued

39th Geothermal Resources Council Annual Meeting will be held Sept. 20-23 in Reno, Nevada, USA. Theme is "Geothermal: Always On."

(Davis, California, USA) The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) has issued a call for papers for the world's largest annual geothermal conference taking place September 20-23, 2015, in Reno, Nevada, USA at the Peppermill Resort Spa. Themed "Geothermal: Always On" the 39th Annual Meeting will reflect the world-wide availability of a clean, dependable renewable energy that is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year.


The GRC Annual Meeting is the industry's largest annual gathering of leading geothermal energy scientists, producers, renewable energy industry stakeholders, regulators, utilities, and key associated business leaders. The four-day event will offer technical, policy, and market conference sessions, educational seminars, tours of local geothermal and renewable energy projects, and numerous networking opportunities. Registration also includes entry to the GEA Geothermal Energy Expo.

Over 1,400 attendees came to the 2014 GRC Annual Meeting and GEA Expo from 39 different countries around the world, highlighting the GRC's role in connecting the global community. With increasing interest in geothermal as a 24/7, 365, reliable source of renewable energy around the world, the GRC is looking ahead to an even stronger international attendance in 2015.

The GRC 2015 Annual Meeting planning committee will consider papers for its Technical and Poster Sessions covering a range of topics, both domestic and international: Business Development / Finance/Market Analysis; Basin & Range / Cascades / Rocky Mountains; Drilling; Direct Use / Heat Pump; Enhanced Geothermal Systems; Exploration / Resource Assessment / Management; Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry; Geothermal Energy Associated with Oil and Gas Operations; Geothermal Project Case Studies; International; Operations / Maintenance / Production Technologies; Regulatory / Environmental Compliance / Policy Issues; Reservoir Engineering/ Management/ Modeling; Seismicity, and Utility and Transmission Issues.

Successful selection to present at the GRC Annual Meeting is prestigious and recognizes the presenter as a top industry expert. International participation is key to the success of the technical programs, and geothermal researchers and experts from around the world are encouraged to submit their work for consideration to be presented at the GRC Annual Meeting.

Anyone who wants to present at the GRC Annual Meeting must submit a paper. Authors may submit a poster and/or oral technical presentation. The paper submission deadline is April 10, 2015.
