The meeco Group debuts its sun2live rooftop solution in India

Installation of photovoltaic solar panels on a commercial building

Gurgaon, India. The Indian subsidiary of The meeco Group, meeco India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the beginning of a new project that will be commissioned by mid-January. meeco India has launched, in the millennium city of Gurgaon, its first rooftop photovoltaic project that consists in the installation of photovoltaic modules on commercial building rooftop. This grid-connected project will enable the building to generate the electric power needed for its operation during the daytime.

The meeco Group, which has become one of the world's leading clean energy companies, has founded meeco India in 2010. Since then, more than 56 MWp of Photovoltaic projects have been realized in India with meeco India delivering the complete project or essential services or supplies thereof.

sun2live is one of The meeco Group's turnkey solution. This solution ensures solar power distribution at a small to medium scale, storage of energy and execution of solutions for both grid-connected and off-grid installations. Acting as a 24/7 power supply source or a backup solution, sun2live™ can provide electricity to households, businesses and communities to cope with the unreliability of the grid, the increasing costs or difficulties to maintain constant power sources.

Mr. Tarun Munjal, Managing Director of meeco India explains: "The installation will be connected with the grid and the power usage will be for captive consumption within the building."

The meeco Group is offering its flagship sun2live™ PV rooftop solution on operational expenditure and capital expenditure basis with full turnkey installation in the National Capital Region, which includes New Delhi and surrounding metropolitan areas, and other parts of Northern India.

Dynapower - MAXIMIZE PRODUCTION AND REVENUES WITH SOLAR PLUS STORAGE

The addition of energy storage to an existing or new utility-scale PV installation allows system owners and operators the opportunity to capture additional revenues. Traditional storage plus solar applications have involved the coupling of independent storage and PV inverters at an AC bus or the use of multi-input hybrid inverters. An alternative approach - coupling energy storage to PV arrays with a DC-to-DC converter - can help maximize production and profits for existing and new utility-scale installations. DC-Coupled Utility-Scale Solar Plus Storage leads to higher round-trip efficiencies and lower cost of integration with existing PV arrays and at the same time, opens up new revenue streams not possible with traditional AC-coupled storage, including clipping recapture and low voltage harvesting, while being eligible for valuable tax incentives.
