Project to create breakthrough market-based energy resource management and trading solution

FEB. 28, 2019 - The Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation has awarded FSIGHT Energy Ltd. of Tel Aviv, Israel, and Solaria Corporation of Oakland, California, a grant for the purpose of jointly developing capabilities in Distributed Energy Resource (DER) management and energy trading. The two companies will develop a combined hardware and software solution for households, businesses, and microgrids that optimizes and manages energy consumption, storage, and trading. Project development, to include solar panels, smart storage devices, and software, starts in Q1 2019 and is expected to be completed by early 2021.

Solaria, a provider of high-efficiency rooftop photovoltaic (PV) platforms, will provide the hardware components, including solar panels, power inverters, and storage devices. Solaria's systems technology is based on its flagship PowerXT® is a high-performance Pure Black™ solar panel - a sleek and attractive option for property owners interested in transforming their rooftops into onsite power plants.

FSIGHT, an innovator in AI and big data for the utility sector, will provide the energy management software based on its advanced Energy AI product suite. Energy AI modules automatically determine the best energy utilization strategies in terms of service and cost and allow end users to achieve fully-automated energy management and trading using Blockchain technology for financial transactions, either peer-to-peer or peer-to-grid.
