CSG NAMES EVERGREEN SOLAR'S FARBER TO BOARD

Conservation Services Group today announced the addition of Mark Farber to group's board of directors. Farber, a longtime industry advocate, is a co-founder of Evergreen Solar, Inc., one of the nation's leading manufacturers of solar power products distributed worldwide.


WESTBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 11, 2007 -- Stephen L. Cowell, chairman and chief executive officer of Conservation Services Group (CSG), today announced the addition of Mark Farber to CSG's board of directors. Farber, a longtime industry advocate, is a co-founder of Evergreen Solar, Inc., one of the nation's leading manufacturers of solar power products distributed worldwide.

Farber brings more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry to CSG's board. He currently serves as vice president of strategic planning for Evergreen Solar. He is also president of the Solar Energy Business Association of New England and chairman of PV Now, a non profit group that promotes state-level photovoltaic market development. For nearly a decade, Farber served as Evergreen president and CEO. Prior to co-founding Evergreen, Farber was marketing manager for Mobil Solar Energy Corporation in Billerica, Mass. For 12 years before joining Mobil, Farber was a management consultant with Temple, Barker and Sloane (now Mercer Management Consulting) in Boston. There, he advised government agencies, manufacturers and utilities on business and policy issues in the energy industry.

Farber received a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering and operations research from Cornell University. He also holds a master's degree from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Farber is a longtime resident of Newton, Mass.
