The City of St. Jean sur Richelieu has chosen solar LED lighting technology to promote energy conservation while producing exceptional light quality with low operating costs.
Montreal, November 2008 — Matrix Energy Inc, eastern Canada's largest supplier of energy efficiency and renewable energy products and systems, announces that it has designed and supplied an autonomous solar photovoltaic (PV) system to power LED Floodlights to the City of St. Jean sur Richelieu in the Province of Quebec.

LED Floodlights are the best option for cities looking for performance at a low cost because of their design, performance attributes and energy savings. The City of St. Jean sur Richelieu project is an example of how Municipalities are leading the way in the specification and purchase of energy-efficient lighting solutions. LED Lighting systems play a crucial role in the global fight to reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions and are a way amongst others to promote energy conservation at low cost. "The decision taken by our City to install a solar LED lighting system was in keeping with our agenda of sustainable development", said Pierre Lepitre of the City of St. Jean sur Richelieu.
Matrix Energy's LED Floodlights are available in 12 or 36 Watt at 12VDC with 60 or 100 degree beam spread available, and can be powered by Stand Alone solar PV and/or wind energy systems.
