SOLAR MANUFACTURING TAX CREDIT GUIDELINES MEAN JOBS NOW
Americas factories can be world leaders in creating components for solar equipment
WASHINGTON, DC " Solar Energy Industries Association President and CEO Rhone Resch released the following statement today on the release of guidelines for the renewable energy manufacturing tax credit enacted into law by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act:
"Todays announcement from the Treasury Department and the Department of Energy about guidelines for the renewable energy manufacturing tax credit will put America on track to once again be the global leader in solar manufacturing. This program will attract billions of dollars of investment in manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and will create new jobs in states where they are needed most. We expect solar-related provisions in the stimulus bill like this one to create 110,000 jobs in the solar industry in 2009 and 2010 combined. This news is especially welcome as unemployment hovers near 10 percent nationally.
"In the past year, we have already seen interest in building new solar manufacturing in the U.S. From the SCHOTT Solar plant in New Mexico and Sharp Solars facility expansion in Tennessee to SolarWorlds new facility in Oregon and Dow Corning in Michigan, the solar industry has the capability of creating good jobs across the nation. The manufacturing tax credit is crucial for the U.S. to become a major manufacturer of new energy technologies. This program will support everyone from the American entrepreneur looking to begin manufacturing to the global leaders in clean energy that are trying to decide where to build their next plant. We look forward to working with the Obama Administration and Congress to ensure that this critical program is extended to support U.S. manufacturing."

Vecoplan - Planning and implementation of complete processing plants in refuse derived fuel production
In order to reduce the costs involved in the energy-intensive production of cement, many manufacturers are turning to refuse-derived fuels (RDF), considerably reducing the proportion of expensive primary fuels they would normally use. Solid fuels are being increasingly used - these might be used tyres, waste wood or mixtures of plastics, paper, composite materials and textiles. Vecoplan provides operators of cement plants with proven and robust components for conveying the material and separating iron and impurities, efficient receiving stations, storage systems and, of course, efficient shredders for an output in various qualities.
