Grid Tie Inverters

Advanced Cooled Inverters are Smaller, More Efficient, and Easier to Maintain

Cleveland, OH, UNITED STATES, May 14, 2010 - Parker Increases Power Range of AC890PX Grid Tie Series

Dallas, May 24, 2010 - Parker Hannifin Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of motion and control technologies, has announced the launch of the next phase of its highly successful AC890PX family of grid tie inverters. The expanded power ratings are the latest in a line of power conversion products from Parker's SSD Division spanning the last 30 years, and offer unprecedented levels of control over a wide range of wind power and other grid-related applications.

Revolutionary new cooling technology has allowed the product line to reach 1.5 MW at 690 VAC while still providing the small footprint required for installation in compact spaces. The advanced cooling system uses a non-conductive refrigerant, and is hermetically sealed, requiring none of the maintenance normally associated with a liquid cooled inverter. Whether air or refrigerant cooled, the AC890PX offers a unique modular design featuring pluggable power modules which can be changed out on site in minutes - without requiring a factory service technician! Inverter modules weigh under 50 pounds, and can be shipped quickly and inexpensively to the installation site.

To further improve operational flexibility, the AC890PX series can be used with induction or PMAC generators. It communicates via all popular industrial protocols, including Ethernet, Profibus, ControlNet, DeviceNet and CANopen, making it suited to integration into your network. Parker also offers modular range of battery storage systems, available in pre-configured shipping containers for convenient delivery and installation where needed.

With annual sales exceeding $10 billion, Parker Hannifin is the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, providing precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of commercial, mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. The company employs approximately 50,000 people in 50 countries around the world. Parker has increased its annual dividends paid to shareholders for 53 consecutive years, among the top five longest-running dividend-increase records in the S&P 500 index.
