Belectric, Inc. Starts Construction of a 3 MW Solar Project at Pocono Raceway

Newark, CA and LONG POND, PA, MAY 25, 2010 -- Belectric, Inc. is starting construction of a 3 MW photovoltaic power plant at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania. Belectric is performing the design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the project in a completely turn-key manner for their customer, enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company (PARIS: EEN).

The Pocono Raceway Solar Project will be constructed along Long Pond Road on approximately 25 acres of land adjacent to the raceway. The power plant, expected to generate clean electricity for the Raceway later this summer, will consist of nearly 40,000 photovoltaic modules and reduce carbon emissions by an estimated 2,370 tons annually.

"Belectric is very proud to be collaborating with enXco and the Pocono Raceway on this solar project," said David Taggart, President / COO of Belectric. "Solar is a renewable, reliable source of energy that is helping to create new cleantech jobs in Pennsylvania and throughout the Nation, while reducing our dependence upon finite sources of fuel. We are very pleased to be working on this benchmark PV installation at such a nationally recognized motorsports venue."

"Belectric's innovative approach to factory level efficiency in the field, and their systems integration expertise, complements enXco's mission to develop efficient and reliable solar power systems. We look forward to working with Belectric to build a highly efficient power plant and helping Pocono Raceway to reduce their carbon footprint" said Peter Solomon, Director, Solar Origination at enXco.

Belectric, Inc., with its European partner Beck Energy, is one of the largest photovoltaic system integrators in the world, with over 75 commissioned power plants generating 400 megawatts of clean power worldwide. Belectric's proprietary system represents the first high voltage, floating ground, and actively controlled power factor installation in North America, providing lower installed costs and improved performance.
