Albany NY (5/14/2010)…MSE Power Systems, Inc. announces the appointment of Rashid Abdul, P.E. as Vice President, Renewable Energy & Industrial Services.

Mr. Abdul will be responsible for business development focusing on expanding MSE's presence in the renewable energy sector.

With 30+ years of experience in the electric power industry, Mr. Abdul brings a great deal of expertise to MSE. From 2007-2009, Mr. Abdul held a senior leadership role at Gamesa Technology Corporation as its Chief Business Officer, Member/Executive Secretary of Gamesa USA Governing Management Board, and Member of Gamesa Corporation International Committee.

Prior to this position at Gamesa, Mr. Abdul was Vice President of Special Projects at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America from 1997-2007. Prior to that, he was Supervisor/Manager/Director of Project Engineering at Raytheon Engineering & Construction for twenty years.

Mr. Abdul is a former board member of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and previous chairman of AWEA's legislative and transmission committees. He holds several engineering degrees and is licensed in 8 states.
