LiteTouch, Inc. Sponsors Green-Built & Resource-Efficient Demonstration Home

Vision House Aspen 2010 debuts March 25 with LiteTouch lighting control system plus many other products and features covering all areas of green building and efficiency.

(Salt Lake City, Utah - March 17, 2010) Today LiteTouch, a leading manufacturer of lighting control systems, announced that VISION House, Aspen 2010, the green demonstration home project of which LiteTouch is a major sponsor, will be completed and available for tours on Friday, March 26, 2010.

VISION House is a program of Green Builder Media involving design and construction of a series of demonstration homes around the country to showcase the implementation of green design, building techniques, products and energy efficient systems.

VISION House Aspen, the latest "living laboratory," is located in Aspen, Colorado with an emphasis on demonstrating the styles, technologies and products for a mountain contemporary custom home in a high-end resort setting. The project is located in a panoramic setting on McClain Flats on the outskirts of Aspen with views of Aspen Mountain, Snowmass Mountain and Upper Roaring Fork Valley. The project demonstrated site-specific, cutting-edge solutions for key green building issues including energy, water, land, resource use, waste management, and indoor environment quality.

Lighting control is a key element of any green building project. The LiteTouch system in the home uses the FIVEk Central Control Unit, and thirtyfive Metropolitan Style keypads. The system controls all lighting and includes preset scenes; pathways of light; master off; security flash; astronomical clock timers; and DayLight Harvesting, a cutting edge residential feature using available sunlight to minimize electricity usage. LiteTouch participation was spearheaded on the ground in Colorado by LiteTouch Rep Glenn Tellis of Controls Plus in Centennial, Colorado.
