Cambridge, 28 Jan, 2010 - Sentec, the smart grid technology specialist, is pleased to announce that its partner, OnStream, a National Grid company, has triumphed at the European Smart Metering Awards, taking both the Metering Manufacturer & Technology of the Year and the Innovation of the Year categories. This prestigious accolade, adjudicated by a panel of industry specialists, recognise the success of the meters launched by OnStream last year that are bringing Sentec's Mobius sensing technology to the UK market.

The meters, which employ Sentec's leading-edge current sensing technology, were designed to be fully upgradable and future-proofed to meet the needs of the rapidly changing UK market along with future standards decisions. The models are robust, reliable, and feature excellent memory capacity and performance. They also have the capability to select the strongest mobile network available, vital in the UK where signal interruption is commonplace.
