• Be recognised as a leader within their field

• Be known as an active and upstanding citizen of the community

The Categories are: Ambassador Award, Product and Technology Award, Developer Award, Community and Regional Initiatives Award, Project Award, Energy Generation and Distribution Award, and the overall Award for Excellence and Innovation - awarded to the applicant deemed to be the best of all applications, and the new Hall of Fame.

Nominations for the SEA Awards for Excellence and Innovation 2011 close at 5:00pm on Monday, 28 February 2011.

Winners will receive their awards during the Energising South East Asia Conference and Exhibition on the 24th March 2011 at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.

Sponsorship opportunities remain available in some of the award categories.

The conference, to be held in Perth, Western Australia 23-26 March 2011, is an international conference dealing with Australian and SE Asian markets and is proving to be of interest to businesses across Australia as exhibitors - with the number of exhibitors we already have we expect it be one of the largest sustainable energy expos ever held in Australia.

The location of this expo in Western Australia targets Perth's participation in the World Energy Cities Partnership (WECP), a collaboration of 16 "energy cities" around the world.

Local company Swan Energy, one of Australia's leading providers of large scale, commercial solar power stations, has backed the Sustainable Energy Association of Australia's event to become the Platinum Sponsor of the expo.

Other enterprises are also offering substantial support with City of Perth, Horizon Power, Hyundai Heavy Industries and UNLTD Energy, generously supporting as Gold Sponsors.

Silver Sponsors of the event are Greensense, SMA and Sunpower, and Bronze Sponsors are HAC the Western Australian Government through the Office of Energy.
