WINDSUN ENERGY ALONG WITH UCSD/BIRCH AQUARIUM INSTALL 3 NEW WIND TURBINES FOR THE "BOUNDLESS ENERGY EXHIBIT"

WINDSUN ENERGY SYSTEMS OF CARLSBAD, IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE BIRCH AQUARIUM, LA JOLLA, HAS JUST COMPLETED THE INSTALLATION OF 3 WIND TURBINES FOR THE INSTITUTES "BOUNDLESS ENERGY" EXHIBIT. THE EXHIBIT OFFICIALLY OPENED ON JULY 7TH. THE EXHIBIT WILL RUN FOR 5 YEARS AND EXPECTS TO DRAW OVER 4 MILLION VISITORS IN THAT TIME.


THE INTER-ACTIVE DISPLAY IS A COMBINATION OF WIND, SOLAR AND WAVE POWER AND IS A HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG AND OLD.

THE WIND TURBINE DISPLAY CONSISTS OF AN 'URBAN GREEN ENERGY', TANGARIE AND ENERGYBALL TURBINES. TWO OF THE UNITS, THE EDDY AND THE GALE ARE VERTICAL AXIS TURBINES WHILE THE ENERGYBALL IS A NEW DESIGN IN HORIZONTAL AXIS CONCEPTS.

BOTH THE URBAN GREEN ENERGY AND THE TANGARIE BRANDS ARE OFFERED BY WINDSUN ENERGY SYSTEMS AND RANGE IN POWER FROM 600 WATT TO 9000 WATTS, MORE THAN ENOUGH TO POWER A HOME WITH THE RIGHT WIND. HUNDREDS OF THESE UNITS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED AROUND THE WORLD AND ARE JUST NOW COMING TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

WINDSUN ENERGY HAS ALSO JUST SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH THE IMPERIAL IRRIGATION DISTRICT TO INSTALL 2 TURBINES AT THEIR MAIN OFFICES IN THE CITIES OF EL CENTRO AND LA QUINTA.
