Ecolibrium Solar launches next generation of solar panel mounting systems at SPI11

Ecolibrium Solar will introduce its revolutionary, lightweight PV mounting system at SPI11. With one durable, polymer component, EcoFoot reduces material and labor costs. EcoFoot is made from 100 percent recycled material - integrating green technology into the solar power industry.

Athens, OH, USA – October 14, 2011 – Ecolibrium Solar will introduce EcoFoot® – the next generation of photovoltaic mounting systems – at Solar Power International 2011, Oct 17-20 in Dallas, Texas.

Ecolibrium Solar's initial product, the EcoFoot® modular mounting system is lighter and faster to install than the metal, multi-piece grids currently used to secure photovoltaic panels on flat roofs. Ecolibrium Solar CEO Brian Wildes says the EcoFoot's new technology will cut costs and make green energy more accessible. In addition, the EcoFoot is made from 100 percent recycled material – advancing a green industry with green technology.

"After more than a year of extensive research and development, an idea that began on paper is going to make people rethink the possibilities of solar energy," Wildes says.

EcoFoot's many product benefits and potential to revolutionize processes used in solar power were among the reasons TechGROWTH Ohio (TGO) and East Central Ohio Tech Angel Fund (ECOTAF) this week committed $500,000 in additional investments to support and expand Athens, Ohio-based Ecolibrium Solar.

According to TGO Executive Director John Glazer, Ecolibrium Solar is a model of entrepreneurial success.

"For solar power to survive, it needs to be competitive with other sources of energy," Glazer says, "Ecolibrium Solar is positioned to change the solar game with reductions in cost."

Engineered to simplify installation and increase installer profitability, EcoFoot also provides contractors and consumers with universal, off-the-shelf material options. EcoFoot is made from an industrial grade polymer with a custom-formulated UV inhibitor, eliminating the need for grounding and potential for corrosion. EcoFoot's streamlined deflector makes it ideal for high-wind zones.

EcoFoot's advanced single-component design maximizes efficiencies throughout a project's life cycle. Lightweight components reduce total install weight and even nest to ease shipping, handling and storage challenges.
