Jim Adams, President of Natural Power US and Neil Douglas, Technical Director at Natural Power will both be contributing to the Wind Power Finance & Investment Summit agenda running from Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th February 2012 in San Diego, California. Neil will be speaking at the session entitled "Resource Analysis for Finance Ready Projects", and Jim will be moderating in the "Technology Innovations for Renewable Project" panel.
The resource analysis session will focus on best-practice in wind energy resource assessment and energy yield prediction. The presentation will also discuss the real life inter-dependencies between a wide range of technical and non-technical disciplines, including land deals, wind farm design, turbine contracts, planning conditions and how these can impact on future revenue. The technology innovations panel will discuss the latest technological innovation, expectation for commercialisation, and expected impacts on project financeability.
Neil Douglas has been employed in the wind energy industry for 17 years and has worked for Natural Power since its inception in 1996. He directs Natural Power's Global Technical Group, which provides consultancy services including bankable resource assessment and energy yield analysis, due diligence, technical support and project design to a global client base for wind, wave and tidal energy projects. Neil's specialist knowledge covers wind farm design and resource assessment, due diligence for project financing and acquisition, complex flow risk analysis for wind farms, offshore wind and marine energy resource modelling.
Jim Adams is responsible for setting strategy and the day-to-day management of Natural Power's presence in the North American renewable energy market. Throughout his career he has managed contracts supporting the development and operations of several thousand MW's of high-profile wind energy projects on an international and domestic level for utility, lender, government and industrial clients. His expertise includes initial project site identification and feasibility, wind plant layout and design, wind resource and energy assessment, project and portfolio due diligence and wind turbine technology reviews for on and offshore wind projects alike.
