All-Energy 2012, the UK's largest renewable energy exhibition and conference, welcomes the news that thanks to ITM Power's HFuel on-site hydrogen refuelling station, Hyundai will bring their Fuel Cell SUV to the show in Aberdeen (23-24 May) to take part in the outside ‘Ride and Drive' demonstration area.

"We are delighted at the news that Hyundai will be joining us to take advantage of ITM Power's HFuel Here refuelling system - we look forward to news of other OEMs opting to do the same," says All-Energy Event Manager, Jamie Thompson of Reed Exhibitions. "The Ride and Drive will highlight the importance of on-site hydrogen production, which is the most sustainable form of hydrogen fuel, and guarantees the purity required for fuel cell vehicles."

HFuel will be available at the All-Energy Exhibition and Conference, being held at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, to refuel fuel cell or hydrogen fuelled vehicles and Hyundai is the first automotive OEM to commit to demonstrating its fuel cell vehicle at All-Energy2012.

In a press release issued by ITM Power today (2 April) Hyundai Managing Director, Tae Won Lim Ph.D., commented: "The Hyundai brand is growing globally both in terms of vehicle sales and our manufacturing footprint. Our corporate slogan is "New Thinking. New Possibilities. New ideas create new values" and the fuel cell vehicle is the reality of our corporate objectives. To have the ability to refuel our vehicle at All-Energy 2012 with hydrogen that is actually generated on site is fantastic."

ITM Power CEO, Dr. Graham Cooley, commented: "Our HFuel product is now very well tested in the field, refuelling vans, cars and materials handling vehicles. To be able to provide this service to one of the world's leading and fastest growing automotive OEM's is a further step forward in our development."

Other vehicles making use of the Low Carbon Transport zone at All-Energy include both the Honda Auris Hybrid and the Honda Prius Hybrid with others set to confirm their presence shortly, while Microcab's new Microcab H2EV will be inside the show on the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (SHFCA) stand and a Peugeot iON will be on the Orkney pavilion. Sustainable transport comes under the conference spotlight at All-Energy on Wednesday 23 May.
