TÜV SÜD presents international services for PV systems at Intersolar 2012

At the Intersolar trade show in Munich between 13 and 15 June 2012, TÜV SÜD will inform visitors about the certification and testing of PV systems, modules and components in accordance with national and international standards and directives (Hall A 5, Stand 235).

TÜV SÜD will showcase its comprehensive service portfolio which facilitates access to international PV markets and funding. The portfolio comprises certification in accordance with national and international standards and directives plus site and environmental impact assessment as well as initial and further training. "Our clients benefit from our global presence and long-standing experience, as we provide testing and certification services for all major PV markets of the world and our tests are also recognized in closed markets such as China and Japan." This know-how helps clients save valuable time when launching their products on new markets and reduce the associated costs.

BIPV certificate facilitates access to international markets

TÜV SÜD's experts not only are familiar with the applicable PV standards and guidelines, but are also recognized as authorized experts in construction engineering. TÜV SÜD has based its BIPV certification on this multi-disciplinary expertise. Successful BIPV certification enables manufacturers and importers to demonstrate that their PV modules and installation systems and methods are safe and comply with the building codes. Certification assesses a host of criteria, including mechanical strength and stability as well as safety in standard operation and in the case of fire. "Since our BIPV certification complies with the national regulations of individual countries, it facilitates access to new markets throughout the world", explains Faißt. On 14 June 2012 from 14.35 to 15.05 the TÜV SÜD expert will give a talk informing Intersolar visitors about "Certification of building integrated PV products (BIPV)".

At TÜV SÜD's trade fair stand, visitors can inform themselves about BIPV certification, but also about TÜV SÜD's entire service portfolio in the field of photovoltaics. The host of services offered by the expert service provider targets manufacturers, investors, importers and installers. Also included in the service range is the thresher test, which verifies the reliability of c-Si modules in operation. The test takes a close look at failure mechanisms, power drop and degradation of reliability, thus permitting reliable assessments of the service life of PV modules to be made. TÜV SÜD's services also include profitability assessments, feasibility studies, site and environmental impact assessments, supplier evaluation, technical due diligence and production of maintenance plans and training offers.

Vecoplan - Planning and implementation of complete processing plants in refuse derived fuel production

In order to reduce the costs involved in the energy-intensive production of cement, many manufacturers are turning to refuse-derived fuels (RDF), considerably reducing the proportion of expensive primary fuels they would normally use. Solid fuels are being increasingly used - these might be used tyres, waste wood or mixtures of plastics, paper, composite materials and textiles. Vecoplan provides operators of cement plants with proven and robust components for conveying the material and separating iron and impurities, efficient receiving stations, storage systems and, of course, efficient shredders for an output in various qualities.
