Mathesis Consulting has started series of roadshows to expose the planned multi- billion dollar renewable opportunities in Nigeria, The team will meet with Alternative Energy innovators, Manufacturers, Enablers and funding institutions in Johannesburg, Durban, London, Pennsylvania and Abuja in the April and May 2012.

The business development director –Chris Edeh said, "The idea is to enable foreign companies and investors gain confidence in the Nigerian energy market". The response we got from the first Nigeria Alternative Energy expo in October 2011 proved that Alternative Energy is a viable option in the Goodluck Jonathan's administration road-map for power. The country has achieved key milestones in the last few year with power generation and distribution; with PHCN privatized the field is now leveled for the stakeholders.

President Goodluck Jonathan reveled in the privatisation plans last year that Nigeria will need over $10 billion a year of investment over the next decade to meet its energy needs. Power blackouts are major brake on growth of the sub-Saharan Africa's second-biggest economy and Goodluck have made it one of the cornerstones of his administration's goal.

This is one of the events lined up before the NAEE 2012; We will in partnership with other stake holders launch other energy saving initiative in the coming months in Abuja, Mr. Edeh revealed. Nigeria companies are also invited to connect to the Lighting Africa, a joint IFC and World Bank program to mobilize the private sector in building sustainable industry that provide safe, affordable modern off-grid lighting for the Africa's un-electrified communities. The program mission is to increase energy access and provide better lighting to more than 250 million by 2030.
