SOLAER USA TO BUILD SOLAR POWER SYSTEM IN NEW MEXICO RMS
SOLAERUSA TO BUILD SOLAR POWER SYSTEM IN NEW MEXICO RMS Foods, Inc. Facility to Save Over Half a Million Dollars from Solar Energy
Hobbs, New Mexico (June 7, 2012) –This summer, there will be another great reason to purchase Boca Burgers and other Boca brand products. RMS Foods, Inc., the exclusive producer of the Boca brand of low fat, low cholesterol soy based products, is having a total of two 100KW solar power systems installed on the roof of their Hobbs manufacturing facility.
RMS Foods, Inc. was founded in 1959 and employs 185 people. They are an exclusive manufacturer of Boca brand products for Kraft Foods. Sam D. Cobb, President of RMS, says that the solar panels will save RMS Foods, Inc. money on electrical costs and also heat load of the building.
"The system will provide direct savings against our current energy cost" explains Mr. Cobb, "and the solar panels create a shading effect for our building, which we try to keep refrigerated below 45 degrees in some areas and below 0 degrees in some."
Solaer USA will install, own, and operate the solar power system. They will provide RMS Foods, Inc. with a discounted electricity rate. Conergy solar panels will be installed and S5! clamps and racking are going to be used to secure the panels to the roof, so there will not be any penetration of the roof structure.
"The solar power system will use only high quality materials and workmanship for construction," explains, Vance Nobe, Chief Engineer of the project. "In addition, the ease of maintenance will ensure a long lasting system for 25 years and more."
