POWER-GEN Europe to make its debut in Vienna, Austria
Commercial Attaché to Austrian Embassy unveils next year's host city as this year's event draws to a close
Koelnmesse, Cologne, 18th June, 2012 – Drazen Miletic, Commercial Attaché for the Austrian Embassy in Germany attended the closing ceremony of POWER-GEN Europe last week to announce that the prestigious event and its co-located show, Renewable Energy World Europe will next year make their debuts in Vienna, Austria.
With the theme of ‘Keeping Europe's Power Flowing', next year's co-located events are to be held at the Messe Wien exhibition and conference centre from 4-6 June 2013. "Vienna is a crucial conduit between Eastern and Western Europe. As the region's largest event dedicated to power generation, POWER-GEN Europe represents an exciting opportunity to demonstrate the Messe Wien's excellent exhibition and conference facilities, and the city's culture and historic legacy," said Miletic, a representative of Advantage Austria. This organisation provides a broad range of business development services to both Austrian companies and their international business partners.
"As Europe continues to work towards an integrated energy sector, this event promises to promote the growing influence of the rapidly expanding renewables sector in a location at the heart of Europe," commented Miletic.
POWER-GEN Europe's high-level conference will include sessions covering a range of strategic and technical topics selected and presented by leading practitioners from the power industry. Power industry professionals throughout the region will come together to share their visions on how to maintain Europe's power supplies as the wider energy shift to renewable energy sources gains momentum. The event will feature top international power industry companies and suppliers drawn from across the conventional and renewable sectors, who will be demonstrating state-of-the-art services and technologies covering every aspect of electric power generation.
