Founded in 2008, the company was awarded the "Innovative Start-up" status in October 2009 and benefited from French OSEO and the "Centre Francilien de l'Innovation" subsidies for its research programs on ORC technology. Enertime is accredited as an R&D provider under the French tax credit system for the years 2011, 2012 and 2013.
