Intersolar North America 2012
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Intevac, Inc. (Nasdaq:IVAC) announced today that the company will participate in Intersolar North America in San Francisco. Intevac will showcase their revolutionary, high value, low-cost solutions for the solar industry.
Intevac will feature its LEAN SOLAR™ processing platform that offers the benefits of high productivity and precise film property control in a small footprint. The LEAN SOLARTM platform, and its suite of applications, enables the production of high efficiency crystalline-silicon cells. The compact ENERGi™ implant product application offers higher cell efficiency through precise boron and phosphorous doping, and is extendible to advanced solar cell technologies. The NanoTexture™ etch product application reduces surface reflectance, and the resulting uniform black surface improves the aesthetic appeal of multi and quasi-mono wafers. Intevac will also present a paper titled "Engineering Advanced Solar Cells with High Throughput Ion Implantation" at the annual SEMICON West Junction Technology Seminar on Thursday, July 12th.
Intevac Booth #5870 will be located in Moscone Center, North Hall. Booth hours are Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10th and 11th from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Thursday, July 12th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Intersolar North America's business-to-business focus provides the solar industry's best opportunity in North America for international networking opportunities. California's largest solar exhibition – the leading U.S. solar market – is co-located with SEMICON West and expects 950 exhibitors and 22,000 solar professionals in 2012.
Intevac was founded in 1991 and has two businesses: Equipment and Intevac Photonics.
In our Equipment business, we are a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of high-productivity, vacuum process equipment solutions. Our systems are production-proven for high-volume manufacturing of small substrates with precise thin film properties, such as those required in the hard drive and solar cell markets.
In the hard drive industry, our 200 Lean® systems process approximately 60% of all magnetic disk media produced worldwide. In the solar cell manufacturing industry, our LEAN SOLAR™ platform, with applications including deposition, texture etch and ion implant, increases the conversion efficiency of silicon solar cells.
In our Photonics business, we are a leader in the development and manufacture of leading-edge, high-sensitivity imaging products and vision systems as well as materials identification instruments utilizing Raman technology. Our products primarily address the defense markets in addition to the industrial, medical and scientific industries.
