Utility Scale Project Development Comes into Focus at Solar Power Generation USA

Solar Power Generation USA (www.solarpowergenerationusa.com), the award-winning conference focused on the development of centralized and distributed solar generation facilities across the US, announced its 2013 lineup of industry leading speakers

The winner of "American Conference of the Year", Solar Power Generation USA (SPG) will feature more than 100 expert speakers covering dedicated tracks on Solar and the Grid, Distributed PV power generation, plant design and operation as well as a finance and investment stream.

Moving to California for 2013 the conference has already garnered the support of CPUC President Michael Peevey and CEC Chair, Robert Weisenmiller who will be scheduled to give their thoughts on how the state's solar industry can continue to grow and the role for utilities within that.

More than 500 experts in project development, solar technologies, project finance, policy, and grid connection will meet at SPG from January 15-16 in Newport Beach, California.

"With networking being the number one reason the vast majority of our delegates and sponsors attend , one of things we have really worked hard on this year is creating a whole range of clever new formats that enable people to get the one-to-one face time with the people they're looking to meet" said Laura Dinnewell who has been Director of Solar Power Generation USA for the past 3 years

"Utilities are often top of people's wish list so to cater for that we've got a breakfast meeting packed full of utility attendees including heavy weights James Avery (SDG&E), Fong Wan (PG&E) and Stu Hemphill (SCE) as well as General Managers of key municipal utilities"

"Investment is also going to be tougher in 2013 than ever before so we've stepped things up in this area too. Not only will there be a full track packed with panels of new investors on the Tuesday but Wednesday will also see roundtables running which are designed to connect investors and developers looking at the same project types and sizes"

Add to this rapid fire speed networking sessions, a cocktail reception and awards evening and the return of the ever popular golf tournament and you can see it is already shaping up to be an action packed week.

With solar CEOs confirming their places on the speaking faculty alongside utilities, investors and other experts the conference has already started to attract a lot of interest from not only the US but further afield.
