Transtector Systems, Inc., a Smiths Interconnect business, today announces the release of a new ultra-small power distribution panel with integrated surge protection. The MiniCab QOB is specifically designed to accommodate lighter pole structures of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), small cell or other surge protected electrical service drop applications.
The miniature cabinet's small footprint significantly reduces the wind load and weight burden on pole structures, while increasing ease of installation. Integrated surge protection further simplifies field set-up and service through the elimination of additional wiring necessary to connect external transient protection. To optimally protect any sensitive electrical loads, non-degrading, silicon avalanche suppression technology with very low let-through levels has been used.
The MiniCab QOB features industry standard QO input/output breakers to allow for easy replacement. Being UL 67 Listed with a NEMA 3R rated enclosure, it is suitable for service disconnects and branch panels indoors as well as outdoors.
