Is Texas on a path to Solar Domination?

SolarBridge Galvanizes Workforce with ACPV Roadshow and Training

AUSTIN, Texas (February 14, 2013) –SolarBridge Technologies (SolarBridge), the Texas-based provider of integrated microinverters for TrueACTM solar modules, is bringing its nationwide ACPV Revolution Roadshow and Training home to Dallas on Friday, Feb. 22. The free training, presented by Ontility Solar Training and co-sponsored by 1SolTec, is being held to educate Texas's rapidly growing solar workforce. The training takes place from 1 to 5 with a product demonstration and open house from 5 to 6 p.m. for the general public.

Texas is poised for huge growth in solar. The amount of solar installed in Texas has doubled in the past two years while the cost of going solar has declined 25 percent, making Texas a leading U.S. solar market. Not only is the cost of going solar 20 percent cheaper in Texas than in California, the solar leader, but the Dallas area alone has more solar installed than the entire state of Utah. As equipment prices continue to drop, more and more homeowners will start saving money by installing solar. Solar technologies like TrueAC modules – which are simpler, safer and more powerful – will attract even more homeowners to solar and keep the state's solar workforce on a steady path of sustained growth.

"The U.S. rooftop solar market will continue to grow rapidly, and as it does we want to make sure the solar workforce is prepared," said Craig Lawrence, VP of Marketing, SolarBridge Technologies. "We've traveled the country on this roadshow and in every city we've been welcomed by a workforce that's ready to embrace simple, reliable solar solutions that can help them accelerate their business. Now it's time to bring this message home to Texas."

Through the ACPV Revolution Roadshow, SolarBridge is providing free technology training for solar installers on TrueAC modules, which are designed, tested and certified as a single assembly by SolarBridge and its module manufacturing partners. TrueAC modules dramatically cut installation time and system cost. With microinverters preinstalled on the back of the solar panels, TrueAC modules can be installed up to 50 percent faster than DC modules with detached microinverters and produce up to 25 percent more power than string inverters with dramatically improved design flexibility. Through the ACPV Revolution Roadshow, SolarBridge is providing free technology training for solar installers on TrueAC modules, which are designed, tested and certified as a single assembly by SolarBridge and its module manufacturing partners.

At this training, experienced and aspiring installers will have the opportunity to gain hands-on training installing TrueAC modules powered by SolarBridge microinverters. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with the latest software monitoring tools and compete for prizes in an installation showdown. All participants will receive four continuing education credits from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), the leading solar workforce certification agency. The NABCEP training is presented in partnership with Ontility, a leader in solar training and education, and 1Soltec, a leading module manufacturer and provider of AC modules powered by SolarBridge Pantheon II microinverters.

The SolarBridge ACPV Revolution Roadshow has been traveling the U.S. since November, with stops in some of the fastest growing U.S. solar markets. The Dallas training will be held at Double Tree Dallas-Richardson, 1981 North Central Expressway in Richardson, from 1 to 6pm and includes a reception for the general public.
