Solar array will provide environmental, financial, and educational benefit.
Anne Arundel County, MD (April 15, 2013) – Solar Energy World, headquartered in Elkridge, Maryland, announced today that it will be donating a solar power system to the Kinder Farm Park in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Through an agreement with Anne Arundel County Department of Parks and Recreation Solar Energy World will begin helping the Kinder Farm Park with its goal to go green in 2013 by installing a solar photovoltaic electric system to power the comfort station at the park. The 2.87kW system, scheduled for installation in 2013, will reduce the carbon emissions of Kinder Farm Park by 2.3 metric tons per year.
"We see this as an opportunity for our company to give back to the community where we live and work, and to promote the benefits of solar energy in our state," says Tope Lala, President of Solar Energy World. "Kinder Farm Park is an excellent choice for a project such as this, based on its location, annual visitation, and community events held throughout the year."
The solar installation will include a large educational component, adding to the benefits that this system will provide. Large signs will be placed around the comfort center with photos and descriptions of how solar energy works, the environmental benefits, and ways for every person to lower their carbon footprint.
