Clenergy partners with CGN Solar Energy on a 300MW PV project in Lijiang, China

Clenergy will team up with strategic partner CGN Solar Energy in cooperation with the Lijiang city government. The two partners will invest 3.9 billion RMB and develop PV power plants totalling 300MW in Lijiang by the end of 2015. The two partners will also assist with the Lijiang government's solar energy planning between 2013 and 2020. The first phase of the project will help boost the local economy, lessen pollution and increase job opportunities.

Ljiang city officials recently hosted an investment forum and anew project signing ceremony in Shenzhen, China. Led by Mayor He Lianghui, Lijiang city's delegation signed a number of cooperation agreements covering several investment and development projects in Lijiang.

The new projects include a 300MW solar PV project. Clenergy as the solar park solution providerwill team up with strategic partner CGN Solar Energy, China's leading solar power supplier and service provider, in cooperation with the Lijiang city government. The two partners will invest 3.9 billion RMB and develop PV power plants totalling 300MW in Lijiang by the end of 2015.

Clenergy and CGN Solar Energy will also assist with the Lijiang government's solar energy planning between 2013 and 2020. Major goals include bringing advanced solar technologies to Lijiang and promoting solar applications in residential and BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) market sectors.

Lijiang is a strong candidate for the development of solar energy because of its low-latitude and high-altitude location in southwest China. The area receives an average annual 2,530 hours of sunshine and has a relatively sophisticated infrastructure.

"To build Lijiang into an important clean energy base is one of Lijiang's development objectives,"said Mayor He. It's an effort that dovetails with the strengths of Clenergy and its partner CGN Solar Energy, both of which have experience in utility-scale projects.

The Lijiang 300MW PV project is Clenergy's first project in southwest China and is a milestone in the company's development. The first phase of the project will help boost the local economy, lessen pollution and increase job opportunities.

RBI Solar - Dahlia Has You Covered

What if you could maximize the Ground Coverage Ratio (GCR) on your next project and not have to worry about the complicated variables that come with a tracker system? With a low tilt and clearance design, Dahlia® has the highest GCR of any fixed-tilt system in the marketplace. The system is available in three tilt options (7.5, 10 and 12.5 degrees) and designed to accommodate any sized PV module. The lightweight system is engineered with fewer components, several of which are shipped to job sites pre-assembled. This design feature reduces freight costs and rapidly trims the amount of on-site installation time required to complete construction. Maximizing PV coverage on a site can lead to an increase of production, which creates greater financial return for project owners. Over 100 MW of Dahlia® projects have been deployed across the United States, in regions of variable snow and wind loads. How much can Dahlia® cover and save you on your next project?
