Real Goods Solar to Host 'Flip the Switch' Ceremony for Newly Completed Solar Farm in Vermont on Tuesday, November 19, 2013
RGS Energy General Manager Tim Seamans, as well as other senior management, will attend the event.
LOUISVILLE, Colo., Nov. 11, 2013 -- RGS Energy, the
(Nasdaq:RSOL), and St. Albans Solar Partners, LLC, will host a "Flip the
Switch" ceremony at the recently completed 2.2 megawatt solar farm in St.
Albans, Vermont on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
Eastern time. The event is by invitation only.
RGS Energy General Manager Tim Seamans, as well as other senior management,
will attend the event.
The solar farm was completed last month ahead of schedule as recently
announced. It is expected to generate enough energy to power more than
400 homes. 100% of the solar energy produced will be purchased through a
feed-in tariff under the Standard Offer Program of Vermont's Sustainably
Priced Energy Development (SPEED) Program. The program was created by
legislation in 2005 to promote renewable energy development in the state in
order to reach the state's renewable energy goal of 20% renewable energy by
2017.
The fixed array ground mount solar system will deliver environmental
benefits to the region, eliminating more than 123 million pounds of annual
carbon dioxide emissions over 25 years or the equivalent to planting more
than 1.4 million trees (per EPA-based data).
"As one of the largest solar farms in Vermont, our 'Flip the Switch'
event will celebrate providing 100% clean renewable solar energy to its
residents," said Seamans. "Thanks in part to the state's renewable energy
development program, the region holds strong potential for generating solar
farm projects."

Vecoplan - Planning and implementation of complete processing plants in refuse derived fuel production
In order to reduce the costs involved in the energy-intensive production of cement, many manufacturers are turning to refuse-derived fuels (RDF), considerably reducing the proportion of expensive primary fuels they would normally use. Solid fuels are being increasingly used - these might be used tyres, waste wood or mixtures of plastics, paper, composite materials and textiles. Vecoplan provides operators of cement plants with proven and robust components for conveying the material and separating iron and impurities, efficient receiving stations, storage systems and, of course, efficient shredders for an output in various qualities.
