The deadline for the EU 2020 target of 20% renewable energy usage is fast approaching and as a result more and more heads are turning to biomass. The dissemination of the latest biomass technology, trends and policies is crucial to Europe and the rest of the world reaching its targets.

That is why the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition invites you to Hamburg for the 22nd edition. You will have the opportunity to access the latest biomass and bioenergy information and to meet the key players of the global biomass community.

By reporting on the 22nd European Biomass Conference and Exhibition you will be encouraging the breakdown of this important information and hence you will be paving the way for further developments.

What can journalists expect?

The annual meeting is focusing on demonstrable science, policy and industry trends. This year we have received 880 contributions to the conference from 62 countries, thus we expect to attract over 1800 delegates.
The Conference Programme is based on the abstracts submitted. A large (140+) international Programme Committee under the Chair of the European Commission's JRC have selected some 250 plenary and oral presentations, and more than 600 visual presentations.
This year there was also a call for industry abstracts and a newly appointed industry committee. Thus you will not only have access to the latest scientific and political developments in bioenergy, but also to the latest advancements in the industry and markets.
