geoAMPS moves into new office

Company growth necessitated construction of a much larger facility

geoAMPS, a technology company that provides software solutions for alternative energy and other industries, has moved into its new, much larger office in Powell, OH.

Over the past few months, construction continued on the building that the geoAMPS team now calls home. The new building is situated near the company's first office in Powell, but it is more than twice the square footage.

geoAMPS has experienced phenomenal growth during its first three years. The technology company has grown from one client its first year to more than 200 direct and channel clients today throughout the United States and Canada. Currently, there are more than 2,000 users of geoAMPS software. Among its clients are companies that develop and manage alternative energy projects. geoAMPS clients are among the leaders in their respective industry.

In only three years, geoAMPS customers have processed more than $1.1 billion in project payments by utilizing geoAMPS software. During the same timeframe, 10 of the company's clients conducted approximately 3,700 projects with the aid of geoAMPS software.

"geoAMPS has growth dramatically in a relatively short period of time," Yogesh Khandelwal, President and Chief Executive Officer of geoAMPS, said. "That level of success is a testament to our excellent products and services and our hard-working, innovative team."

The geoAMPS product line has grown from one offered its first year to 12 industry-specific products offered today. In addition to software products, geoAMPS has developed a range of innovative services, such as mobile technology and data migration, which its clients are increasingly utilizing.

Among the geoAMPS suite of software products is altAMPS, which is specially designed to meet the needs of alternative energy projects. The web-based software, operating through a central database, automates many tasks through each stage of development, construction and operation. altAMPS helps to ensure that alternative energy projects are completed on schedule and within budget. That, in turn, provides incentives for continued growth of renewable energy industries.

With altAMPS, organizations can realize significant cost savings through efficiencies in critical aspects of projects. It offers end-to-end management in a paperless environment.

altAMPS streamlines the process of acquiring land and right-of-way necessary to complete a project. Organizations can easily update tract and ownership information, as well as the progress of negotiations, construction, etc. Once agreements have been reached, altAMPS automates much of the complex and time-consuming process of tracking and issuing ongoing payments to property owners, tax officials or other entities. Such timesaving tools have simplified what has been a significant pain point for organizations in the renewable energy industry.

The geoAMPS software can integrate with an organization's financial and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for seamless transfer of data between all systems and to further increase the audit controls and efficiencies. SCADA is vital to monitor, control and alarm plant or regional operating systems from a central location.

altAMPS is a powerful tool that aids the ongoing maintenance of alternative energy projects. The available Forms Builder module assists the organization with inspections of the infrastructure on a regular schedule. Inspection reports are maintained in the central database, providing an up-to-date record that ensures inspections are completed, and not repeated unnecessarily. The software also triggers automated notifications of when an inspection is needed or has been scheduled, as well as the specific area of the project or section of equipment that needs addressed.

Along with geoAMPS' growth came a need for additional employees and a larger facility. The new office accommodates the company's current needs as well as future anticipated growth.

geoAMPS provides a support and collaborative work environment. The new office's modern interior design facilitates that company culture.

"We regard our company culture as essential to maintaining the quality products and services our customers have come to expect," Yogesh said.

The new address for geoAMPS is 3821 Attucks Drive, Powell, OH, 43065.

Dan Liggett is Communications and Public Relations Manager of geoAMPS, a technology company in the Columbus, OH, area that specializes in software solutions to manage land rights and infrastructure assets. For more information, call 614-389-4871 or visit
