With almost 2,000MW of onshore wind South Africa is under the global spotlight as the industry's most exciting market.

In the most recent round of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) an entirely international line-up was revealed. With the likes of Enel Green Power, China Longyuan Power and Mainstream Renewable Power allocated projects, many of the local players were priced out of the market when unable to match the incredibly competitive pricing that comes with a booming market.

For the first time since their successful transition into the country, Enel Green Power will address the South African market in a high-level debate at Wind Energy Summit South Africa. Antonio Cammisecra, Head of Business Development for Enel Green Power is joined by Mark Tanton, CEO of Red Cap, Mike Peo, Head of Infrastructure, Energy & Telecommunications of Nedbank Capital and Alastair Campbell, Managing Director of Vantage GreenX to discuss how to drive down the cost of onshore wind in a competitive yet sustainable way.
