Fort Carson Chooses Solectria Renewables Inverters to Power 1.43MW Installation

The system will produce 2,195,000 kWh annually.

Lawrence, MA - February 6, 2014 - Solectria Renewables, LLC, a leading U.S. PV inverter manufacturer,announced today that its Megawatt Solar Station, with two SGI 500XT's, was chosen for the 1.43MW ground-mount solar array at Fort Carson just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The system will produce 2,195,000 kWh annually.


Fort Carson is an active U.S. Army installation that supports 10 military units with more than 19,000 active-duty personnel. The Army has a strong commitment to clean, renewable energy; and, Fort Carson has one of the most forward-thinking energy strategies and track records in the Department of Defense. One objective of the installations' Garrison Commander Strategic Action Plan is to sustain all facility and mobility systems from renewable sources by 2027.

Infinity Construction Services, Inc. (ICS) and Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME), a wholly owned subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE: PWR), worked together as the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor for this project.
