Students to feature next generation smart module technology for residential home

LOS GATOS, Calif.--Tigo Energy, the smart module market leader, today announced the support of team Techstyle Haus in the 2014 European Solar Decathlon competition. The team is a collaboration between Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, and the University of Applied Sciences in Erfurt, Germany. The competition challenges twenty collegiate teams from sixteen countries to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The winner of the competition is the team that best blends affordability, consumer appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency.

"We decided to use the Tigo Energy smart module solution in our design," said Mathew Breuer a student member of team Techstyle Haus.
