LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24, 2014 -- Chilicon Power announces the CP-100 Gateway, a 7" capacitive-touch tablet that provides powerline communication (PLC) to CP-250 microinverters with integrated Wi-Fi and zWave wireless modules. The CP-100 is a user friendly monitoring appliance for every residential and commercial solar array.

Chilicon powerline communication has been built ground-up by former NASA engineers using advanced signal processing techniques and provides the most robust powerline communication in the industry. It is no longer necessary to locate the Gateway near the solar distribution panel in order to close the link with microinverters. Instead, virtually any socket in a customer residence can be used.
The Gateway can be flush mounted to the wall with a spring clip kit that ships with each unit creating a point of presence for home automation control in addition to demand-side monitoring so that customers are provided with the full picture of their local power budget.
The Gateway operates on residential split-phase, commercial three-phase, and international single-phase grids. One Gateway can monitor and control 255 Chilicon inverters and up to 230 zWave slave nodes. The Gateway is also able to monitor inverters from other micro, string, and central inverter manufacturers using wireless CT clamp technology on a zWave network.
