Atlanta, GA, October 14, 2014: SolarMax, a Swiss based global pure-play photovoltaic (PV) inverter company with U.S. headquarters in Atlanta, GA, and more than 20 years of bringing innovative PV inverters to market, will showcase its industry-leading technology at Solar Power International held October 20-23, 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

SolarMax USA will be exhibiting on the 2nd floor at booth 4514. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the company's commercial and utility-scale three-phase string inverter technologies, including the RX A central inverter series.

The SolarMax RX A is a new powerful central inverter that addresses the needs of large-scale commercial solar and utility-scale solar projects. Available in 500kW or 600kW versions, the RX A is an outdoor-rated central inverter with flexible and modular design that increases energy production and reduces system costs of large utility-scale projects.

"It's an interesting time for inverters in the US market. For years we only had central inverters for utility scale projects but recently we have seen the movement to string inverters for multi-megawatt projects. With the SolarMax RX A you have the best of both worlds: It has the footprint and scale of a central inverter but with 125 or 150kW independent power units with their own MPP trackers. It is essentially four very large strings inverters in an outdoor rated housing," said Alan Beale, general manager, SolarMax USA. "In addition, the RX A series can be configured up to 2.4 MW for those very large solar plants."

Vecoplan - Planning and implementation of complete processing plants in refuse derived fuel production

In order to reduce the costs involved in the energy-intensive production of cement, many manufacturers are turning to refuse-derived fuels (RDF), considerably reducing the proportion of expensive primary fuels they would normally use. Solid fuels are being increasingly used - these might be used tyres, waste wood or mixtures of plastics, paper, composite materials and textiles. Vecoplan provides operators of cement plants with proven and robust components for conveying the material and separating iron and impurities, efficient receiving stations, storage systems and, of course, efficient shredders for an output in various qualities.
