In China, because 2nd tier polysilicon manufacturers continue to maintain high production utilization rate, when China traditional slow season is approaching, they are adjusting their price down for securing the future orders. While China demand recovery is not as good as expected, the over polysilicon supply makes 2nd grade polysilicon price downtrend more serious.

Multi module price keeps flat but mono module price drops this week. In China and the US, overall module price is stable as module demand is the same as last week. In EU, because the USD against the EURO does not change notably, module price pressure is eased temporarily. On the other contrary, the strong USD against JPY and the suspension of solar power grid connection in Japan continue to push module price down, especially for mono one. Hence, the solid multi module demand allows multi module price to be flat but the weak demand and price downtrend in Japan make mono module price decline slightly.
Multi cell price is stable but mono cell price falls this week. At the moment, China domestic demand still rush on multi cells and modules. However, without the further multi module price improvement, multi cell price are not able to raise prices. Besides, some module makers or cell buyers slow down their procurement as they expect the cell price will step down after the middle of November. Nonetheless, facing the decrease of mono module price, mono module players make mono cell to follow their price trend. Thus, mono cell price goes down further.
Multi wafer price maintains flat but mono wafer price continuously goes down. Multi wafer demand is stable thanks to the solid Chinese demand. Also, major multi wafer players have no intension to adjust their price quotes. As a result, multi wafer price remains constantly at this moment. In contrast, affected by Japan market slow down, lots of mono wafer buyers are conservative to purchase mono wafers recently. Although non-Chinese mono wafers makers are attempting to hold their mono wafer price, major Chinese mono wafer makers are offering the lower prices. Therefore, mono wafer follows downstream mono components which have a price drop.
