EWEA 2015: TÜV SÜD's Wind Farm Due Diligence secures Investments

Changing hands of wind farms requires expertise. Projects may entail specific risks which are not obvious straight away. The Wind Farm Due Diligence of TÜV SÜD supports buyers and sellers of wind farms in securing their investments. From 17 - 20 November TÜV SÜD will present their full range of services for the wind energy sector at the EWEA 2015 in Paris (Hall 1, booth 18).

The wind energy sector is becoming more and more international; wind turbines and their components are being manufactured and traded globally. Not only can features of wind turbines and components be verified and documented by independent assessments and certifications, investments in plants and wind farms can be secured as well. Especially in terms of entire wind farms securing investments is of particular importance. "In case risks do not get detected, the operators cash flow and portfolio might be burdened significantly", Thomas Zirngibl of TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH says.

Within the scope of the wind farm due diligence experts identify the opportunities and risks which - depending on the project phase - are connected with the purchase of a wind farm. These due diligence assessments include the analysis of plants and site conditions as well as of contracts and possible liability risks and the development of solution strategies. On behalf of prestigious investors the TÜV SÜD experts have already secured several big wind farm transactions with their due diligence assessments.
